The best (and most sustainable) way to get there is by train. The ICE trains from Munich and Frankfurt to Berlin cross paths here. If you’re travelling from even further away, you could fly to Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich or Leipzig and travel directly on to Erfurt from there.
